Scottish Slow Session with Anna-Wendy Stevenson
Quick, don't waste time! Get down to work and learn these pieces for the slow session that will be offered by violin legend Anna-Wendy Stevenson at Llar Trad Fest, this June in Pola de Somiedo. Give yourself the opportunity to play and learn with your favorite artists and references. Ana-Wendy has even provided us with the scores of the pieces, so you have no excuse, whatever your preferred method to learn them.
Drawing for three youth scholarships for Llar Trad Fest
We are looking for youth to nurture the future of tradition, so if you are under 35 years old, you are in luck. You can come for free to the Llar Folk masterclasses with the Moza Llar Folk Scholarship, with this scholarship you will be able to enjoy the training in the instrument and level you want (guitar, bouzouki, flute, bagpipe, bodhran, accordion or violin), thanks to the generous donation to the festival of an anonymous friend.

Asturian repertoire for the slow sessions of Llar Trad Fest
According to Susana Asensio Llamas, in her work “Fuentes para el estudio de la música popular asturiana” (CSIC: Madrid, 2010), Melquiades commented “this is the real old jota”, and said that it was also played with the violin. In fact, it was also known as Jota de Pedrín de Campelo, who was probably the vigulinero who played it.

Tuenda: straight from tradition
Tuenda, an acclaimed trio in Asturian traditional music, formed in the winter of 2003, had a very significant impact on the folk music scene. They debuted with their eponymous album "Tuenda" in 2005, which was followed by two other works (Tuenda 2, Tuenda 3). Their music, deeply rooted in the Asturian oral tradition, included diverse thematic elements and linguistic variants of Asturias.

Meet Draque, the youngest group in Asturian traditional music, as they breathe new life into the region's folk heritage. Comprised of Julio Rodríguez on bouzouki, Celia Nieto on violin, and Celia Corrales providing the captivating vocals, this trio is bringing a fresh perspective to the traditional music scene.

Josephine Marsh: Artist Spotlight
Accordionist and TG4's Composer of the Year 2020, Josephine Marsh is a musician renowned for her highly distinctive and personalised style. Critics have described her playing as loose, free, spiritual, uplifting, and flowing. Josephine has enjoyed a global career, touring worldwide both as a solo musician/teacher and with her own band. A notable highlight was her 1999 musical collaboration with Niamh Parsons and Pat Marsh for the St. Patrick's Day celebrations on Capitol Hill. She has released three solo albums, in addition to one with The Josephine Marsh Band, and has collaborated with various artists over the years, including singers like Mick Hanly and Seán Tyrrell.

Reconocido gaitero y flautista mierense, ahora afincado en Ibbenbüren, Alemania. Borja es uno de esos músicos que han extendido la discografía del folk asturiano en los últimos 25 años.
Ha sido miembro de grupos como Llangres y DRD, y actualmente es el flautista de Llan de Cubel, grupo de cabecera desde los inicios del folk asturiano
