Airports: There are three International airports within driving distance to Asturias.

Trains/Buses: There is now a fast train to Oviedo/Gijon from Madrid, and also regional connections from all over Spain. It is preferable to get to Oviedo if it’s on your route. Otherwise, Gijon is also fine.

If you arrive im Gijon there are easy connections from Xixon (Gijon) bus or train stations to Oviedo.
Buses will be rolling out on Friday 28th June, in time for the festival's welcome drinks and opening concert (8pm), and will return on Tuesday morning the 2nd July.

Asturias (OVD) now has direct flights from many cities in Europe. Within driving distance is Santander and Bilbao international airports.

We’ve booked rooms throughout Somiedo for our students with local lodgings to cater to various preferences. Pola de Somiedo is a gorgeous village and has many options, all within walking distance of our classes and concerts, making this a truly car-free festival. Would you like personal assistance to choose the right accommodation? Shared dormitory accommodation, shared hotel accommodation, camping grounds, campervan parking, boutique hotels, or rural houses.

Food plays a vital role in the daily rhythms of Asturias, and we've ensured you won't go hungry in Pola de Somiedo. Timing is crucial, especially when you're eager to make the most of your afternoon masterclasses. That's why we've coordinated with local restaurants in the village to prepare a daily changing local menu for our 2pm lunch break. This will be a delicious 3-course meal, allowing you to enjoy authentic Asturian flavors without missing out on class time.
