Llau: three asturian melodies

Formed by three accomplished musicians from the well-regarded bands Corquieu, Felpeyu, and N'arba, Llau re-imagines traditional music, curating a repertoire that offers a refreshing take on traditional tunes, infusing them with the spontaneous energy of a jam session.

Their story began on an unforgettable evening at L'esperteyu chigre, making their first public appearance during a St. Patrick's Day event. With Dani Álvarez on flute, bagpipes, and percussion, Lisardo Prieto on violin, and Luis Nicolás on acoustic guitar, the group found an immediate synergy that went beyond mere musical cooperation. Llau has since delighted audiences across Asturias with performances that skillfully mix a respect for musical tradition with a distinctive interpretation of Atlantic Arc music.

Tunes: 01- La Flor del romero 02- Xirandiya de Torner from a songbook by Eduardo Martínez Torner (famously covered by Llan de Cubel) 03- Xirandiya del Fresno composed by Ígor Medio.
